The right rear tire on my WD which we have been using all summer to help clear land and skid logs suddenly went flat overnight. Checking it out I have discovered that the rim has basically given way close to underneath the valve. There is a couple of holes about 1/8" wide by 1" long in which you can see the tire through. Looks as if the previous owner had repaired this area before. What are my options other than purchasing a new rim? 11'x 28" rear spin out rim.Gregg from AR

Honestly.....save yourself alot of headaches and replace the rim. If the area has been repaired before it is already a questionable rim, now the repair failed.....I would toss it and replace with new

I also just went thru this, ended up finding a used rim about half price of new at tony and barbs. Still had about 2 hours into cleaning up the inside and painting so it doesnt rust thru. Alot of guys here will cut out the bad spot and weld in new metal, or a section from another rim, and drill and new valve stem hole. Good luck

I agree with Don - replace the rim.
