    Posted: 11 May 2016 at 8:55pm
I have a spring tooth harrow that is missing two front shanks. There are four shanks in the back row and three in the front. I need two of the front ones. I need the brackets with the two set screws that mount them as well.

Thanks in advance.

If someone would be kind enough to post how to make that a live link, I promise I will print it out and tape it to my end table next to my chair so I can do it myself!

Tri-State Show, Portland, IN,  May Swap-meet and August Show is a good place to find such items.  Actually, most any large show. Le Sueur, MN is probably much closer for you. And you may find at some small show with only a few old iron venders.   Suggest taking along a sample to insure you get the identical item. Happy hunting. Herb(GA)

Finally found the pictures- had to dig awhile.

Here is the harrow, you can see it only has one "front" shank.

I need two of these.

Thanks.

You only need one as it only supposed to have six springs on it. That will be a very hard part to find as these harrows are very rare.

AC part numbers needed =

72026899 Standard

72026901 Spring

72025769 Clamp

72025756 Nut -special (available at The Parts Depot in WI)

72026900 Bolt -special (qty 2 req.)

Here is a link to the parts manual with Simplicity part numbers.

I think your best shot would be finding another incomplete one and making two, or maybe some of these parts are laying on an old dealer's shelf somewhere.

All the ones I have ever seen have 7 shanks. Like in the link above.

I was hoping to find someone that has a partial one laying around...

So the spring teeth are all the same, its brackets #13 and #16 that make the difference.

Any any rate, I still need two whole assemblies for the front row of tines....

Are these really that rare? I sure like the way it works the ground up, I'd just like to get it back to original....
