There will be an Allis Chalmers tractor caravan ride to the
upcoming Gathering of the Orange in Laporte, Indiana which is running June
20-23. This caravan ride is a two day
ride beginning June 18th at Holiday City, Ohio (northeast of Montpelier,
Ohio and just off Interstate 80). Our
route of backroad travel has us headed west through rolling hills and the heart
of Amish country across northern Indiana.
Our first day has us leaving at 7:30am EST traveling 77 miles with an
overnight stop in Goshen, Indiana. The
second day of the ride has us leaving Goshen at 7:30am EST and traveling 62
miles to the showgrounds at Laporte, Indiana with an arrival time between 2:00
and 3:00pm CST.
This is an all Allis Chalmers caravan with tractors that can
maintain a minimum of 10 mph. If you
have ever wanted to make one of these rides which is full of adventure,
camaraderie and just plain fun you would be wise to make plans to join us June
18th and 19th to extend your Gathering of the Orange
experience this month in Laporte. Opportunities
like this don’t come around much for a tractor ride like this very often.
