Hello, new here. Had a question about the manifold mounted on the bottom of the torque housing. Has 3 lines going to it and from the pictures in the service manual there are orings in the top where it mounts to the housing. I have some atf leaking there. Wondering if anyone knows how big of a mess I will have (how big of an oil pan needed) if I pull that manifold off to change the o-rings and seal. I will try to upload a pic also. Thanks!

the capacity of the converter torque housing  and power shuttle is  33 quarts.

use allis chalmers dexron power fluid 401 or suitable 2021 equivalent if the fluid needs replacement.

above per page a-5 specifications 3/1/1975 -Allis Chalmer 650 Series Service Manual. I believe the H-4/HD4 machine which preceded the 650 Crawler, Dozer, Loaders were set up with the same torque converted power shuttle transmission.

Get a large receptacle to capture the fluid when you disconnect the lines to keep the environment clean and importantly keep the work area clean so as not to allow contamination into the torque converter power shuttle unit.  Good luck.

Ok well in that case I will wait until I can drive it up on some blocks and make myself more room, not the funnest place to try to work, especially if I’m going to be trying to catch that much fluid
