Does anyone know the dorman number for the plug in the head of a b?

It looks to be 1.225 x 3/8.

Is there a cross over number or application?

I dont know... i just took the old plug to NAPA and got one that looked like it..

Your number of 1.225 is 25 thousands under 1-1/4 inch.... that would allow for a little CRUNCH when installing.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Remeasured using better attention. Plug is 1.250" in diameter.

For reference dorman 555-023.

No leaks now.

On my D 15 I used a expansion plug from Napa, like Steve said. When I had the head redone machine shop put a freeze plug in.
