Hello All,
Quick question for the group: 1965 Fiat Allis 545 Wheel Loader- has an Allison Torqmatic Transmission TT2220-1 Would anyone know what this "should" take for fluid? I've heard Dextron ATF, to 10W, to 15-40? Seems like when i ask the local shops too, there seems to be differences there as well; I was leaning to the 15-40 personally-but just want to make sure i dont hurt it by putting the wrong fluid in it. |

A variety of oils will work... Some use Dextron, some use 10wt hyd, some use 15-40 engine oil... thicker oil can help on older trans with internal wear...

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thank you Steve! Much appreciated, I guess there seems to be a lot of folks using different oils, but that must mean it's not as critical as I was worried about.
