As were directed to pickup clay at a Montgomery County pit yesterday we drove past an old farm just south of Bellflower MO, off Hesterburg Road(Cty 134), spotted a recognizable machine a HD11 as headlamps still behind the grill.  Had no time to stop for photos, was actually working.  Blade was well rusted and machine appeared well rested in place, spotted a Allis rubber tire loader back further on another load and what appears to be a Allis Tracked Loader in pieces behind the house.  A Google Earth view showed several other presumably Allis machines parked further back off the road.

Just West of that home farm was a Cat cable 8 full Dozer, Likely a 68A s/n, another refugee from long past worklife, appeared to be becoming a piece of Yardamentation just sitting and at peace.

Several years back I took a ride with a friend who use to do pipeline patrol , he low level hops the route of pipeline from Rosemount MN to Wisconsin Rapids and a few others .
Now at low level - way below normal height it's surprising what one can see that isn't visible from a road or flying over a area at FAA prescribed height .
Also have to say it took more than a few hours to get use to the after queasy feeling and out of balance motion jitters from feeling every thermal , updraft  , downdraft created from hugging the ground for 3 hours .
But seen a lot of hidden treasures tucked out in the back fencerow , partially hidden in the tall weeds or tree lines and or abandoned buildings on old farms
