D-14 Doing a clutch replacement....AGCO doesn't have the pilot bushing... are they available or been replaced with a modern bearing/bushing? Appreciate any experience with this as mine is galled and beat up.

No joy it looks like only the very early D-14... not my 60. Wonder why? |

Wonder what the dimensions are? Any chance of automotive interchange? May be worth a look.

Hmm....Your D-14 must be a true 12 volt tractor ( generator has smooth shell, no 'brush band cover ) ? |

Are you talking bushing 228188. It’s same part number in parts book for both serial number breaks.

I know the ring gear on early D14's are different but the pilot bushing serial number break info surprises me. If the vendors info is correct. AGCO says not available so must have been very limited . Dimensions would confirm. Once I get it out.

I checked an Allis Parts Catalog for D-14 printed in Oct., 1961 ( after the end of D-14 assembly) and it does not show any break in Serial number for the Pilot Bushing. Only one P/N 228188. The 149 Power Unit however uses a different number, 226859, a bearing. G ............................................................. There is a definite reason why there is a Serial Number Break for D-10 and D-12. The posted Serial Numbers are the start of the Series II. The Ser.II had Live Hydraulic and Live PTO. A solid Shaft was splined in to the Flywheel in place of the Pilot Bushing. This shaft provided power to the PTO and rear mounted external Hydraulic Pump. Edited by Gary - 24 Jun 2024 at 8:53am |
