The main concern of Home Rebuilding Detroit Diesel injectors in NOT having a bench to test after completed, then Not having a Lapping block to fit all the Hand Fitted pieces together then not having the cleanest bench to do the work where as small as a grain of dust gets inside and the close fit up will lock the injector parts mid stroke.

I managed to repair series 110 engines in a old quarry shop loaded with dust and dirt but always knew we could stick a injector.

My problem was an incredible amount of silt that accumulated in the fuel tank.  My filters were completely clogged.  It took multiple rinses of the tank to mostly clear it out and a few filters to finish the job.  Blowing the fuel lines out was also necessary.  Amazing how much bad fuel they can hold.  I tried rebuilding the injectors but it was too tedious and difficult.  Ended up replacing them with two from Powerline Components in Afton, Wyoming.  Finally, it seems to be okay for the time being.  I'm so gun shy about my tractor.
