I recently bought an I-60 forklift tractor, and would like to change the fluids. The I-60 manual specifies type A atf for the torque tube and shuttle clutch, SAE 80 EP oil for the transmission, and SAE 20-20W for the final drives. My H3 dozer manual specifies SAE 20-20W oil for the transmission, hydraulic system, final drives, and the shuttle clutch. Kind of confusing, since they are basically the same drivetrain. What is everybody else using for lubes? Would Hy-Trans meeting the 821 spec be suitable for everything?

821 will replace ALL of those fluids YES.

I would stick to the ATF where called for in clutch , 821 might be to heavy in hyd oil part for the rest of machine it would work . It depends if your using it in cold climate or indoors . If inside it would work . 10/30 also could be used except for transmission I would use a heavier oil 50 weight engine oil or the SAE 80

Well type A ATF has been gone for a long time by now as it had whale oil in it. I guess you can still buy a fluid labeled as type A but not the same stuff the engineers designed back in the day.

80-90 gear lube was used in transmissions before they had combined hydraulics.. With internal hydraulics, you need 20wt, or universal tractor fluid type oils.. If the hydraulic pump does not use the trans sump oil, then it could still be gear lube.
