What is needed to remove the PTO completely from a 190xt? Looking to save a lil weight. I can make a plate to go in place of it, and a plug on the output, but is there a seal between the torque tube and transmission that would require me splitting the tractor to plug? |

for 25# ? yes , there is a double seal in the belly - you will join the sumps.. Not worth it unless you split it and remove all the pto gears and shafts/shifters and plug the holes; add something to limit hydraulic oil used while at it.

If you are removing the lift arm housing and the PTO shaft, there's some weight loss to be had there. You should plug the hole where the PTO shaft went thru at the front to keep hydraulic oil where it belongs and to raise transmission oil level to flood the differential gears. Doesn't require a split, just have to be a little creative.
