find you an ugly big blue tarp, nail it up on the roof then put a sign with your step sons name on it in front for all to see, see how long the tarp stays there, it would draw more attention than the way it is now! like I always say about things like this....it's "the power of *ussy"!

tada !!!!!
100 days !!!
Not that I'm counting......Tongue

So now the lottery ... WHEN will the skid of shingles get installed ? Since it's cold and miserable here now, obviously a 'Spring project'. March 17th, Apr 1, May 26th( my BD)  ??

I did put a tall BRIGHT orange safety cone in front of the skid to remind me NOT to hit it with the snowblower.

BTW the guy with the PURPLE and YELLOW Ford 9N says he's turned down $3000 csh for it !

Got an idea, give us his phone number and we will call about a roofing job and give him your address and maybe it will click in his head to finish what he started and maybe he won't cry to his mother about it? Think it will work?

Great , I'm already in the doghouse about not moving the skid of shingles from in front of the garage( see it EVERYTIME you look out kitchen windows). Friend says if I moved them next door, well 'outta sight, outta mind'..it'll never get done.
My theory was IF it was in PLAIN sight , the job would get done......well that back fired. He went to Dom Rep for a week ( 'needed a 3rd holiday this summer.....)
Honestly, I got bigger problems to deal with so this doesn't upset the ulcer.
jes somethin for you guys to shake your heads about !!

We could pool are money here and rent a billboard (or are they to ugly for Canada and banned) and put up a add for "Never Get's  it done contracting" "see his quality work at your address".

Think that would get any movement out of him? LOL Other than sawing the billboard post down.LOL  All from the Shameless council for quality in building.Wink

I need a current picture and his phone number. I should be able to post some advertisements across the World Wide Web for his business. Like "give me a call and you'll take a fall" or "give me your cash and you'll kick yourself in your a$$" or "call me up and pay me first then you'll hate me but don't you curse".😁

update :
day 110 ... not ,that , well, OK I AM COUNTING....
and it's kinda done..well at least the skid of shingles are on the north half of the garage !! I'm thinking the wife got after the kid, seeing how EVERYONE said 'something' about the skid of shingles in front of the garage. Me, I didn't say  a peep.
Course I needed to haul them into the garage and HEAT them up to 80*F for 34 hours, not that I'm counting.....then creativly find skids to help raise them up to the roof.
Kid started at 10:30, 1/2hr lunch(mommy supplied) then left at 3:30 with 3 rows left to do. This morning (10AM) he nailed them frozen shingles up  and was gone around 2.

The low pitched annex( houses furnace ,air compressor and steel) is next years project. I figure I'll do it on May 26th when I turn 66.

Not too sure how long FROZEN shingles nailed onto 1st layer of FROZEN shingles will actually last. If you saw it in person you'd see the wavy blocking and several haven't even thought about laying flat !
Everyone who does see it, just shakes their heads ,mumbles &^% words.
Bottom line, it's up, she likes it, 'he' did a GREAT job( in his mind) and I got better things to do.

If that would have been my roof, but then I don't have the patience you do Jay, when he got about a third of the was up and I saw those shingles sticking up in the air,,,,,,,,well, I would have offered my help to him and gone up on that roof to help.  You woulda had to holler loud enough when you offered the help, so the Mrs. would have heard.  Then when I would have gotten up there, I'd a helped him, he would have fallen off the roof and broke his neck.  I'd a broke his neck first just to make sure.....

Often a hot day will soften them and they will lay down BUT by the time you have another hot day which will be months away.......it will be too late to do any good.
