According to Norm Swinford's book the D grader got the square frame in mid 1961. That would be about serial 5900 for gas and 2250 for diesel. They seem to have a different serial number series for gas and diesel. The D grader became the M65 in 1971, the Fiatallis 65B in 1979, the Fiatallis FG65C in 1995 and finally the NorAm 65E in 2004. Check out www.noram65.com click on about us and then heritage. Noram is more proud of their heritage than Agco.

The serial number is typically found on a plate on the frame about where you climb into the cab on the right hand side.
