I was wondering how many of the square tube model D graders were built? I was also wondering what years they were buit? Thanks

According to Norm Swinford's book the D grader got the square frame in mid 1961. That would be about serial 5900 for gas and 2250 for diesel. They seem to have a different serial number series for gas and diesel. The D grader became the M65 in 1971, the Fiatallis 65B in 1979, the Fiatallis FG65C in 1995 and finally the NorAm 65E in 2004. The serial number is typically found on a plate on the frame about where you climb into the cab on the right hand side.

Hi John I think it should be under the door where you climb in, stamped in the chassis not sure which side . I will see if i can find out for sure? regards steve
