Today while mowing my mower wanted to lug down at times. Not sure if it is spark or fuel problems.Started after it was pretty well warmed up. Doesn't always have this problem. Engine is tired , electric fuel pump, in line filter. Sometimes if I clutched it and turned off deck it would pickup rpms.
I really love the placement of fuel mixture needle and points. Nothing like burning your hand while trying to adjust them.Any thoughts? Thanks Tracy |

Make sure both spark plugs are good. Replaced mine a few years back and the engine ran worse. 1 Plug was bad from the start - slipped passed quality control.

Tracy,I had 2 plugs that looked practically new in my 616 but after a couple of hair pulling days I replaced them and problem solved. (P.S. They sparked great through my plug tester) Good Luck.

Re-set the points and it is much better. Not perfect but she is tired. At least a 1/2 quart of oil per mowing, about 3 to 4 hours. Tracy
