I weighted up the old CA to pull in #4000 competitive stock. Wish me luck in this David verses The Goliaths class.

How did you do, and what was your other competition?

We had another pull today on light sandy soil and got a 1st in 3200, 3rd in 3500 and 3750.

Ken,
Wife did'nt fare so good this wk end either. Hard track with a bit of goo on top after water. 16.9's just would'nt hook. Got beat by the narrower track tires which is usually not the case. My WD took KOH @ 3750 3mph with 10 others including a couple of hot Olivers,
a sweet win!

Win some loose some. Gettin beat by the narrow tire tractors is getting to be pretty regular here lately. Is same number of pounds spread over a larger area make you spin easier? Got me scratchin my head for a mathematical solution.

Ken,
If you figure it out, plz let me know as our final pull of the year is coming up with a similar type track but indoors. We also had a bearing failure on the drive axle (outside) which took out the final drive gear and the axle gear. Give me something to do in my spare time tho.
What distance did you pull at 4k? Quite a load for the CA!

What distance did I pull? Not far enough. Plenty power with a stock engine in first gear. Just can't get it to keep from slipping the wide tires even with all the added weight behind the rear axle or above and close ahead of it. Something is not adding up to TRACTION. The heavy engine is way to far ahead of the rear axle.

I've pulled 3500 and 4k depending on what other tractors showed up. Thin classes, I will pull for the fun of it. Stock it does OK, just need to load a lot of weights!

I have 11.2x24's on it.
