HAPPY 4TH OF JULY from us at B&B! Hope everybody enjoys their day with family and friends. Get the grill fired up and the liquid refreshment out. Enjoy the day! I think around this neck of the woods people will be enjoying their pools. It's been a warm summer so far around here. Far cry from this time last year. We had nothin' but rain, rain, rain..... Still in recovery mode because of my wife hip replacement. So please say a pray for my wife, as she had a set back and is really down about things. So have extra fun since don't have any special plans for today's celebration.

It’s a perfect 4th for weather here in Iowa!!
I’m enjoying some time working with my American made Allis Chalmers 410, I don’t like the new overseas garden tractors because they just don’t fit the needs of an American!! Sorry but I couldn’t help it… Happy 4th everyone!!!!! |

Happy INDEPENDANCE DAY!!! The Preamble to the Declaration of Independance introduces, and summarizes what the document is all about: "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people
to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another,
and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal
station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of
mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to
the separation." The declaration goes on to name each of the grievances justifying separation. The context of these grievances reappeared in what eventually became the first ten amendments of the US Constitution, and the structure of our governmental system as it appears in Articles 1 through 3. It is, without a doubt, the finest 'Dear John' letter (albeit, to King George) ever written. The authors, and signators, had guts, faith, and total investment in what they believed. We should keep that in the forefront of our lives, as they were willing to give their lives for us to have it.

May the GOD of Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, King David, King Solomon, Daniel and Jesus, please continue to bless our nation as he did the first couple hundred of years. Those who have read Scripture know that GOD punishes people/nations when he sees fit, including his own people the Jews. Our GOD is "slow to anger and rich in kindness and mercy and love". We have become an immoral people it seems, the same as many other countries of the past who no longer exist (Rome and Greece to name only two). Not ALL of us have become immoral and unrighteous, but it seems more than half of us have. We have never been perfect, but with the growing onslaught of "anti-GOD" laws and policies, I think we are being punished now and have been since the end of WW2. The US of A has truly been the greatest nation on the face of the earth that there has ever been. But this was when she acknowledged GOD and tried to obey him. Happy B-Day to America !!
