I've got a 52 CA carburetor is dripping fuel from what appears to be a plug in the bottom of the float bowl with a small hole in the plugI'm not sure what brand carburetor it is but it's got the round float bowl would this be a leaking needle the engine would not start I'm thinking it made of drain fuel into into the cylinders and wet
thank the plugs

the "round bowl" probably makes it a  MARVEL SCHEBLER as compared to a Zenith.  The PLUG on the bottom may be the adjustment needle for the main jet... Probably has a packing around the stem and a small round gasket on the plug.... Or maybe you dont have the "Stem" and the hole has been plugged ?? .... Either way, there is a round gasket on the plug..

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

The plug on the bowl would basically drip fuel onto the ground. Has no effect on the motor starting or flooding. You can buy a kit that has the gasket, seals and a couple jets if your interested in rebuilding it....

If it "wont start" you need to determine if your getting fuel... and if you have SPARK... If it fires when squirting ether into the air cleaner, then your not getting gas.. If if will NOT FIRE on ether, then you probably dont have a spark..

How long has the tractor been Setting ?  When was the last time the engine ran ?

it's not a needle jet it's looks like a casting plug like a freeze plug in an engine block except it's got a small factory hole in the center of it where it's drippingIMG_20240803_130834268.jpgIMG_20240803_130834268_2024-08-03_13-10-12.jpgIMG_20240803_130834268_2024-08-03_13-11-06.jpg

Yes.. that is exactly what it is... A freeze plug with a hole in it.. It is NOT in the bowl, it is in the THROAT .. If your FLOAT leaks thru and overflows the bowl, the gas goes into the throat and ends up dripping out that little hole so it dont run into the air cleaner... The carb is an UPDRAFT into the intake manifold... Gas will not overflow at go TOWARD the engine.

You have a stuck float, or a bad seat in the shutoff valve inside the bowl..

and that is a ZENITH carb... not the MS carb.
