I have an HD21P that has been sitting for I don't know how many years.  was moving it to load on trailer and blew a steering/brake hydraulic line(one of two long lines from rear to front filter assembly on left side), replaced line and it worked for a few minutes then i lost both sides steering and brakes. tried bleeding the lines and still nothing.

second question : how long should it take to have transmission oil pressure? seems to take a very long time before pressure comes up and it happens all at once, from 0 to operating pressure.

Suction screens are probably loaded as of the Surge when the Line burst, will need to pull them ALL down clean and inspect, change filters.

These are all cartridge filters and element screens. Look for your power steering pump and the lines will run right to them.

Need a serial # for the tractor to help further. Most of the cartridge screens are cleanable with time and a solvent tank; filters should be replaced.

thanks again. the filters didnt look too bad. i replaced the second long line and had steering for about 50 feet again then lost it again.is there a way to bleed the system? also i cant seem to find where to add the fluid. its only at minimum operating range on the dipstick (if its the correct dipstick that im checking) im  missing the most forward dipstick of the 3 next to the seat. the most rearward dipstick seems to be the correct one.

Try going to"General Gear" a after market seller of steering clutch parts for all crawlers. In the last years they added parts books for sure, but I think other books to help people working on the old stuff. So they may have the operators book you desperately need.
