Costco is normally least expensive in this area; normally ~$3.10. I assume some what similar drops in this region? Anyone know what caused this huge drop? Herb(GA)

Diesel at Casey's near here is just under $3, HOWEVER, is Cut with Bio Diesel so tends to cause some real issues on some equipment.

Here in North central Maryland all fuels are dropping big time. A few weeks ago diesel was hovering around $3.50 now you can find it down close to $3. Gasoline is easily found under $3. According to Shipley energy a month ago all petroleum fuels had bottomed out in late July and would continue upward at least through the end of the year. So much for the experts opinion. I've bee watching the crude oil prices and about week ago I saw start going down and not it is a good bit below $70. I'll bet OPEC members are $hitting themselves and will cut more production soon.

Paid $2.88 at Sam's Club tonight - so about 6 cents lower than last week .
Yet Speedway station across the street went from $3.19 to $3.09 and today dropped to $3.03 |

Commy Cally ant got the memo yet. The radio reports the price has been up about 5 to cents a week for a month. I caulked that up to a 3 day weekend and lots of driving.
The same report of gas going up did report crud going down . Welfare people don't care or understand. The in town price has been $4.25 ish most of summer then $4.50 for Holladay weekend. Back to $4.25 locally if you care to look. Reported $4.75 state wide average. What is with people one Standard Oil station is near $6 a gal. The plus is you can get a cheaper car wash.

I would agree that's a likely reason, EXCEPT I'm in the UK and prices have dropped here in the last week too down from £1.43/litre (Diesel, I don't pay much mind to petrol but it's usually about 0.05/l less) to £1.35/litre or roughly £5.10/US gal. (so still somewhere in the region of triple your prices at the current exchange rate, God I HATE living here sometimes!)

Now only a few days later Gasoline is under $3 just about everywhere and Diesel will soon follow. Right now diesel can be found for under $3 if you want to travel , but the average is just above $3 today.

I bought tractor gas yesterday, non-ethanol was $2.98. Cheapest I've bought it in a long time! Filled 6 jugs to get the $100.00. The one holds about 6.8 gallons, others about 5.5. Got enough cans in the back of 'ol Red to do it again this morning. If the 756 was running right I'd drive it in and fill it up too.
