Looking for a shop to weld and grind a WD45 crankshaft to 5.3-5.5 stroke. Any recommendations?

Don't have a recommendation for the shop but have a crank that would be a good candidate for the project! Would sell it pretty cheap too.

Thanks IBWD. I have a candidate shaft, but more spares the better. How much undersized are the mains and has it passed magnaflux? Will you be at Boonville?

I will put a mic on it and get back to you. Has not been magnafluxed but came out of a running engine.

Ok. the mic tells a different story than the way I remember it but pretty sure it's not lying! The rods check; 1) 2.3658 2) 2.3738 3) 2.3738 4) 2.3738 Mains; 1)2.3952 this is the problem child 2) 2.4776 3) 2.4772 My memory told me one of the rods was .040 under and needed ground. Turns out it was that front main. Anyway, still a good candidate for a stroker I think. |
