Looking for a little more whistle out of my 200. Is there a silencer ring on a stock turbo? Is it worth it to remove it? I'm curious. Thanks

Run a straight pipe. If you want more whistle, install a turbo from a 7020 tractor.

Now hold on a second here fellas. There is a very distinct line between a sweet sounding turbo whistle, and an ear deafening sound, such as the god aweful sound that those foreign cars make that spoiled brats drive around. My 7060, now when the turbo gets to working on that bad boy, it lets out a whistle that is a far cry from a noise that is going to hurt your ears, but it'll bring a smile to your face every time. As far as how to get a 200 turbo to make that sound; I haven't got a clue, and I don't know what there is about my 7060 that makes it do it, but I like it and ain't going to change a thing. Darrel

Exactly! I just was trying to find out if there was a way to make the turbo a little more noticeable. If it can't be done that's fine. For the 20 hrs I put on it in a year, I could deal with its little louder. Different story if it was a daily driver. At least a few guys know what I'm trying to achieve.

Guess if you do like Dr Allis said, and put a 7020 turbo on it, you'll get that sweet music. Darrel
