Case 1845C skid steer with it's original "Milsco" suspension set. One of the two suspension cables busted on me today during heavy use in rough ground cleaning up around my shop. Lot of concrete demolition debris, footings, etc. being ripped out and loaded so quite the workout. When that cable let go it banged me down quite hard and it's now quite the buckboard to operate within. Ordering another seat in a few minutes.

Never realized how well this thing worked over the past 23 years I've owned the tractor but boy is it a difference.

This is the area being worked down. Near most of the clear dirt area was large piles of debris and has been there quite a spell. Nice to find someone that can use the fill as there wasn't any trash in it.

That little "A" frame building is a well pump house with a good well inside. It is tied into the shop water supply which is fed from another well but this one will tie in also after the shelter is rebuilt.

The goal here is to erect a stand alone shelter having a concrete floor and 30" wide by 60" deep and 18' length finished dimensions trench centered in entrance door with an offset for workspace on the side. This will be used to service heavy trucks, and offer storage for my 11B tractor. The top edge of the trench will be set up for rolling "jacking beams" to use when a wheel, or track needs to be clear of the floor. Basically, drive in centered over the trench, and back out when finished.

This is as left but still need to do a bit more leveling and rock picking:

Have moved some stuff around and will get a good spray of the vegetation later in the week to kill everything overgrown.

Thanks. Been looking forward to this for quite a spell and the time to move on it is rapidly approaching.

Ordered a new seat for the skid steer. Eagerly awaiting it's arrival as have quite a few more hours in that machine to do yet. Paying jobs come first of course but I'd like to have the floor w/heating coils installed and trench poured by the end of August. Myself and two buddies erected the gray steel building ourselves 23 years ago, and I believe there is still enough in me to erect the post frame structure for this new offshoot. I don't finance anything so go slow, and pay as I go.

Going to get the remainder of refuse hauled off this afternoon. Probably six loads yet remaining so should go pretty quick. While still cool this morning I'm going to run in and pressure wash the engine bay of a brand new S-97 combine to clean it up after a nest of young raccoons decided to berth in the engine fan area. Blood, guts, fur, and hyde everyplace, as the engine and fan drive was pretty indiscimanent of how it chewed them up and ejected chunks.

I got a look and really one of those jobs where "ya got it licked once past the smell", so shouldn't be too bad. Got a rubber suit for such tasks as the money is all green to me.

Looks like a pretty good rain squall headed this way tomorrow afternoon so will be nice to get some settling action and dust control into motion.

Piles are now gone as of about midnight last evening. As of 4:00pm yesterday afternoon:

Same spot as of 11:55 last evening:

Final load just prior to spreading at the dump site. This was the 23rd load in a 6'X12' dump trailer hauled out of here. First loads were large broken slabs and block/rock screened with a grapple bucket for base fill, then the scrapings and rippings with a box blade on the tractor to pick up sub soiled material, and finally the landscape rake to pick up rocks and small material. This is the final pile dumped:

Now onto designing the "Palace of Allis" for the dozer to reside in.

Got some final site cleanup and finish leveling to do but it's raining today so may do a few other things but certainly happy to have this accomplished.

After a couple hours of "crumming" and dragging with the landscape rake on my little Ford tractor "Hercules":

Little bit more to remove which is mostly rocks and other aggregate not needed. It will go into the dump trailer to be hauled off:

Onto the old burn barrel and tire pile shown in the background later in the week.
