I need to build a set of splitting stands for a 190xt. I gave one that holds the rear using the 4 large bolt holes under the trans. Now I want to build a set for the front to bolt to the frame rails near the bell. I’m sure someone here has done this. I’m looking for ideas and how heavily they need built. I want to have it on casters. I gave a set that are rated for 1200lbs each so I think those should work.
There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!!

I've used 3 inch channel iron on mine with 3/8" thick center for the vertical position. You'll need something to go forward at an angle to keep the channel iron vertical. Connect both channels somehow across under the engine. Make sure to use one long 3/4" dowel on each side frame to hold the engine up.

I used 4” channel uprights and lower crossmember, with scaffold jacks for height adjustment. Bolted my casters to the bottom of scaffold jack feet. Worked great on my D17 clutch job. I found that using more than one bolt hole in the frame rail on each side negated the need for diagonal supports, but you will probably want them on a heavier machine..[]
