The original B-12 engine is a model 300421 ? or something close. Briggs has discontinued the oversized pistons for that engine and I don't believe Rotary or any other manufacturers make replacement pistons. Rods can be had through Rotary or Primeline. Over on the SimpleTractors forum several members have bored their 12hp blocks out to the standard bore for a 32 cubic inch Briggs (14hp to 16hp). The 12hp CI engine has the same external dimensions and the block is the same thickness as the 14-16hp CI Briggs engines. The pistons STD, .010, and .020 are readily available for these engines and it will give you more power. You might need to change to a 14hp CYL head but it is a direct bolt-on replacement.

It should be on the blower cover, just to the right hand side of the carburetor.
