On an Allis C, Zenith carb has #216937 on the outer ring of the plate, and S906 on the inner.  Venturi is trashed.  How do I figure out what venturi will fit in this?

Were the Marvel and Zenith carbs used interchangably on the B's and C's?  Does it go by year? thanks

Parts book says its part# 223808 (or 70223808) - VENTURI (size 13).  Zenith carbs 212844, 212845, & 216937 all take the same part.  Sandy Lake Implement Co. is your best bet.  Otherwise Alex09(WI) had a 212845 on hand that could be used a as a donor, if he still has it...

Can't answer the Marvel/Zenith swap question.  Only dealt with Zeniths thus far.

The carb used on the B and C tractors could fit several different brand tractors... You change the venturi and the main jet to adjust for different displacements and rpm needed... I think the B and C tractors had a 9/16 inch bore venturi... Double check when you buy to see that you get that bore.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

There were a couple years ( during the war)  where marvel carbs were used on some B tractors... Dont know if the Zenith were not available, or if ALLIS was just pushing Zenith to keep the price down.

I have a list of carbs by year / model number... this is part of 1944...

I believe your carb came off a 1947 KEROSENE tractor

Thank you for the info, everybody.  Very interesting, especially about the possiblity of kerosene!!??  The tractor was not running when I got it, but its history indicates that it was running well with this carb.  Whether it was original, or has had jets swapped, who knows.

I will check out McDonald carb.  Looks like a good resource.

As an alternative, what # of Marvel carb should I look for if I can't fix the Zenith?
