Should these have a fuel pump?? Mine has one that is not hooked up...the fuel is fed just like on the gas tractors?? What industrial applications might have used a fuel pump?? Thanks, Mark

Yes the H3 (which is what it would be if it were a gas) used a fuel pump. I would assume that since they could operate on more serious grades than a wheeled tractor the engineers thought a fuel pump was necessary.

Mine has a fuel pump. The manual says it's a 3-4 pound pressure pump. If you have a gas dozer it would be an H3. HD3 means it's a diesel. HTH

Mine has one too. It'll run without it, but make sure to keep your tank at least 1/2 full if you'll be working any serious grades.

I have two H-3s, both have after market electric fuel pumps on them. They work fine. They are wired through the ignition switch.
