I have a new to me 8030 PS FWA, 5000 hrs. I have the service and operators manuals and am working thru the issues I'm running across. According to dates on filter it has seen 44 hours in the last 2 years. It appears to have set for a considerable time with left window out. floor pan rusted almost through, diff lock seized, bottom 6" of cab kit cut out. I have adjusted inching pedal per manual and it now works correctly.
My current issue being addressed is 3 point does not respond to handle position, raise lift up and lower handle a small amount, the lift arms slowly settle all the way down to stop at any point the handle must be raised just a tick. Rate of drop adjustment does not seem to change rate of drop much if any. I have soaked traction booster linkage with penetrating oil and front of valve also. What else could be the issue? Thanks for you time

When the Lift/Lower lever is clear to the rear, the hitch should come up 99% of the way. It should not lift 100% as the hydraulics will then be pumping all the time. Does it lift 99% ??? does it lift a real load?? like a big round bale or heavier?? you might have blown seals on the lift cylinder inside.

Hitch lifts 2700 lbs without a problem and holds without settling with tractor running
Hitch does lift to 100% with control lever fully rearward, pressure gauge at tee is 2500lbs, move lever a small amount forward pump de-strokes and pressure is 250lbs I tried adjusting cable per manual but having a hard time getting the 6.3” dim from clamp to center of yolk pin, my assumption would be a stretched cable |

Found and fixed issue, linkage was seized at multiple spots. Took apart cleaned, wire wheel, lubed and re-assembled. Set lift per manual, fully raised is 500lb pressure, traction booster set also
I appreciate the reply |

Glad you got it figured out. Outdoors storage isn't the best for tractors.
