Looking for 4 1/8 high compression pistons for a 226. Wonder if anybody makes them? Would like to get compression around 250.

Used to be if you found a set of M & W's from a WC/WD (SP46 kit) they were the ticket. So, if by chance you can get a modern day set of 4 1/8" for a WC/WD and use them with the WD-45 crankshaft, you should have something higher than average. Compression height (piston pin center to piston top) is the key.

I have a set of 4&1/8" flat tops. Comparing them to an M&W, the head of the piston is a little lower but they don't have that massive bowl. I can send pics if you like. I believe they are JCC brand? That is the only marking on them.

These are SK156 Flat top pistons compared to standard D17 spec pistons with wristpin lined up.

WARNING: SP-46 M & W brand pistons will require removing .150" off the piston tops to avoid hitting the cylinder head !! You measure them to verify this.
