Fellas,
A good man who heavily influenced me in my younger day recently passed. Was picking something up from his wife and the farm of his parents and there set a D17 original to the farm. Battery was shot so couldn’t get it running but plan to go back.
Appears all original with factory 3 pt and like new 16.9x28 rears. Right rear rim is rough. Hour meter showing 7k+ and no idea of any work done.   She said he planted with it a year ago..

I traveled to Jeff City Missouri several years ago and picked up a factory 3 point off a 170 and put it on my series 4. It was a whole lot sweeter tractor after that.

That's a really nice straight and original series IV. That may be the most sought after tractor that Allis built. He took good care of it.

That could be a very high priced tractor the way NICE tractors are currently selling.
I'd like to have it but know it's out of my budget.
