I am looking at maybe buying an H3 gas dozer. Wondering if somebody could tell me the weight of a gasser with a 6 way power blade? Wondering if I can pull it behind a 3/4 ton truck with a bumper pull trailer....

Thanks, is the the weight with the blade? I've heard some people say they weight upwards of 10,000 and thought that was a little heavy.

The spec sheet that I have say the base unit is 7100lbs operating weight. On mine with the loader bucket it was 9800lbs. A blade should be slightly less.

Hmm I'm thinking its a little to heavy to haul with the trailer I have at hand especially since it would be quite a distance and across state lines...

I brought home a HD3 crawler with my 12000 GVW trailer and my father in law's 1 ton Ford Diesel. Truck handled it no problem, trailer showed the wear though. I don't think I would take it a long distance unless I had a heavier duty trailer.

Hmm the seller was saying he hauls it routinely on a normal car hauler trailer without any issues. Have to investigate further.

My old 180 with a loader, and the 8 foot bush hog runs out close to 9000#, I haul it on my Super Duty and a 14000# rated goose, no issues.

I have an HD-3 with a 6 way blade. We have moved it for at least 5 years on a 12,000 Felling trailer with torsional axles, and pulled it with a 2001 Super Duty with a 7.3 diesel. Weight of the HD3 is published by AC @ 6300 pounds with a 5 roller track frame and 10" shoes. The 1080 six way blade is an additional 1563 pounds. I would guess our tractor to be about 8000# as it has PTO and 14" shoes.
