Today's happy-news: Lonn in Minnesota's G226 has been handed off to Dave6080. Dave 6080's 301 is now sitting on my trailer, en route westward back to Lonn. In the back of the truck is 18 suitcase weights from Barney in Fletcher, Ohio, for Jason in northeastern Nebraska.
Of course, I couldn't come home empty-handed... so there's a '39 WC sitting on the trailer... engine turns, but no spark from the mag, carb float is obviously stuck open, and electric starter is jammed... cylinder head has blue RTV squished out of the gasket, and the water pump is off, so it's obviously gonna need lots of TLC, but the tires actually hold air through all those cracks, and the brakes actually work! One of the greatest 'perks' of this job, is that I get the opportunity to move things like this for fellow enthusiasts... and most of all, I get to meet 'em all in person!!! |
