D17 for D15 swap possibilities

Hello all,  
I am posting in the farm equipment site and my usual construction site as you farmers probably know a lot too.

What are the physical differences between the 15 and 17 motors?  And could one swap a 17 for a 15 with a little work?

I can get a running 17 for less than piston and sleeves are  for my 15 (160 cu in).
