A couple of years ago I bought a 720, it had been repowered with a Briggs, and the original engine came with it, the old engine is not torn down, and it looks OK, no holes in crank case etc.
If I were to sell this old engine what would be a decent asking price?

Well, I would think as long as it isn't blown up and is still complete and ran prior, I'd say between $250-$500. Do you know why it was replaced? Smoked? Knocked? Internal problem? Really depends on its condition. I could be off in my guess...

Externally it looks OK but I don't know if it runs. I'm thing go pulling the spark plug put some oil in through the spark plug, and roll it over by hand to see how it feels, then maybe try a compression test.
