This is pretty close to me, do you think it's a fair price? And could it be made to fit my 616?

YES it's a fair price !
YES I'd buy it,well for 1000 Canuck, 1000 USD is about $1600 Canucks today....
YES you'll have to get a pump andmake a 'subframe'

BUT

In the past 4-5 months I'd asked high nd low for ANY make/model rider FEL
nothing,zip,zilch, zero...
Currently pricing parts to make one...
$600 for cylinders
$200 for valves
$200 for hoses
$500 for raw steel

So YES it IS worth the $1000 he wants....

Anything can be 'adapted'...that to me IS the easy part !
Heck I'd give you $1200 for it tomorrow....

Guess it depends on your local market I could find a full tractor with loader tractor not running here for about that price if the tractor is gas.
Two things about loaders look for welds that show if it was abused. That bucket has been used with a chain around it to lift something heavy for sure which bent it down. Second you really want a loader which attaches to the rear axle of the tractor that one doesn't. If the loader only attaches to the front end you put alot of stress on the tractor frame and front end.

I guess if I were interested I'ld call him as there's just to many unanswered questions for me . I didn't see mention of pump $250-400 new, how longs it set ? may need all new packing and seals. $1000  gets real expensive real quick . Just my $.02

I figured it would be a good start as opposed to building from scratch. I'd have to fabricate my own mounts, so I could attach to rear axle. Gonna go look at it anyway, thanks for the advice.

Looks to me like the controls are on the wrong side to be practical

On the loaders for the 616/620/720 and PowerMax tractors, I think the levers are on the left because of the requirement to use your right hand on the hydro levers.

Well on my d15 I have my left hand on the shuttle shift my right hand on the wheel and my other right hand in the loader controls. Lol someone else drove it the other day and ask me how the heck do you drive this thing it takes 3 hands. I just laughed and said takes practice.
