#1 lift seems very slow. Is that normal? It takes about 12 seconds or so to lift the tiller from fully down to just clearin the dirt
#2 Tiller belt. Anyone have the number for the correct belt? Mine is quite a bit too short and I have to leave a pulley off to make it work, and if I lift too high the belt hits the body. #3 Is there no way to disengage the tiller after belt is installed? My 712 had a separate clutch, but there is not one on this tractor. JImD

Hi Jim.
Yes, the lift does seem a little slow. I'm looking at one now with 150# of force from progressiveautomations.com to lift my Sears Rotospader. I'm guessing that it's weight with the engine is "about" 100-125#. This lift travel is .59"/sec. What does your rototiller weigh? That might be a factor in it's lifting speed. They can customize a linear actuator for your needs if needed- for a $50 customization fee - as they have basic models already set to ship. I can buy another one that'll do the job, too, for more $$, but it'd be an overkill lift. Can't tell you about the belt issue. Sorry.
