Neighbor just bought a new Dodge truck with hemi. Said it's being discontinued ? Sounds like a dumb idea to me.

Which is the dumb idea - buying it or discontinuing it?

I've heard that Chrysler is discontinuing the Charger and Challenger also.
The hemi is being replaced by an inline turbocharged6 cylinder. |

Pickup trucks have never been a status symbol for me. Stupid to pay the kind of money they cost these days, (my opinion). I use a truck as a truck, and abuse them if need be. With the prices of operating being what they are, I use a 25+ mpg older car to do the running with rather than the 10mpg pickup, or 5.5mpg semi truck/tractor. All older, well maintained, and are just as reliable as something much newer; many times more so. No, I don't deserve new, so don't have it.
