11.2 is probably the smallest you want on a CA... 12.4 looks better... The 9.5 was used on many Bs.. but i have a couple with 11.2 inch tires and they fit the B nice.

I'm thinking I may have to up to 21" rows (my drill has 7" spacing). I'm planning on playing around with row spacing in a few plots. The biggest pain will probably be changing the cultivator and tire spacing between plots. 11.2 may be what I'm stuck with if I want to keep the power adjust rims, which I think I do.

A guy had a rough CA he was about to haul in for scrap, so I bought it from him instead. This one's a 1951. The engine is stuck and one front and one rear rim are completely shot, with the other two possibly being repairable with some work. I'm hoping I have a decent chance of making one good tractor if I combine these two tractor, do an engine rebuild, and buy tires.
I also picked up a gas tank, front wheel, cultivators, and a B/C 9705 Zenith carb that I think will get me by for a bit until I come across a correct carb for a CA. I need to get the WD done and out of the shop so I can get to work on a CA.

Nice! As the owner of a 52 and a 55 CA I'm happy to see more kept alive here. The more work I see you guys posting on here, the more I learn how to do more things on my own. And as other have said.....I love running my CA. It has incredible power for a the horsepower it's rated at.

You did the right thing dragging that thing home! There aren't near as many CA's out there as other models and a lot of the parts are unique to them. I would buy more if they were around.

John, This is great news on the additional CA. You now have a lot of parts to make one really good CA. I have never driven one much, so i hope to change that at some point with help from folks here. Regards, Chris and Cheryl

Our 52’ with the Woods L306 belly mower has been mowing our farm yard and river front property for over 20 years. Does a great job and fun to run even without PS. Just keep her moving and she turns easily.

I mowed with the very same setup tonight, I bought my L306 mower in 2003, it has been on 2 tractors, both CA's and it is bulletproof.
