I recently purchased a C with an L306 Woods belly mower. When the mower is lifted with the hydraulic cylinder, the bracket on the right hand side continues to run into the starter (so much so that it cut through the battery cable and shorted it out). It is clear that the guy that had this tractor before me had the same problem because there is evidence of contact by the mower bracket on the starter. Has anyone had this issue before? Is there any particular way to keep these two things out of contact other than simply not raising the mower up all the way? Thanks.

I have a similar issue with my C that has 72" arts-way on it. I made a bracket that the mower hangs on when I'm not using the mower to support the deck. But it almost sounds as if your ARM on ur bracket is too long. Hard to say without seeing it though.
