I am trying to confirm the year that my HD6B as manufactured to obtain the service manuals for it and the parts catalog. I was told that this was a '64, however the serial number on the tag indicates that it is much earlier than that.

The tag on the instrument panel was highly corroded and barely readable. I have photos of the tag before I cleaned it off with steel wool to verify the serial number.

Tractor: 6-9550
Engine :6-9559

Thank you very much. This is going to be a long process. I know that i will need a hydraulic pump and mount bracket, starter solenoid needs to be rebuilt, and steering and brakes at the minimum.

Those track pads have sure seen some use. Looks like a neat project. Does the engine turn over? I have kicked around an HD-11 project that is close to me, but I pretty well got scared off by the unavailability of engine parts for the old AC/Buda engines in that era of crawlers.

Motor spins freely. Removed the fuel filters and drained the old diesel out. All lines are not blocked. Working on rebuilding the starter now, the one terminal melted, new battery cables being installed and electric system overhaul.
