We feed Hummingbirds Every Year, came fairly Early this year as wife noted where currently have damn near to disappeared. One or two during day on a game cam I set up away from the 20-40 birds at one point feeding off six feeders. Now have to dump Two every couple days as food goes sour. NOT Normal, usually see them to first or second week October.
Weird. |

We only had a few at a time during the summer but now there are fifteen or so wearing our two feeders out. Guess they are loading up for their migration further south. We might be feeding some from your area now.

It seems that the hummingbird is started migration southward? I found this webpage. It talks about their voyages & has maps showing where each kind hangs out. It’s a good read.

Next up all the Walnut trees in our region are dumping leaves as fast as the nuts. Several noted stressed trees were dropping leaves and fruit early mainly due to dry conditions where as been dry should not be aligning for winter just yet.
Suspicions lead to a early cold and nasty winter. |
