    Posted: 09 Mar 2010 at 6:13pm
I have a 240 corn head for an A2 for sale.  $150 will buy it as is.  If no one wants it by the end of the month I probably will pull the good parts off of it and haul it off.  Its in good shape, but I have a 330 and have no need for it anymore and really need the money and space.
Located in Oblong, Illinois.
Thanks
Adam

Adam - if you part it out, I'd be interested in the stalk deflectors on the sides.  Mike

How does $35 plus shipping for both of them sound?
Thanks

Adam, that sounds great but can I just pick them up when I'm in the general area in July for the OPOP show?  Drop me a PM or e-mail with an address to send you a check.  Mike

The stalk shields are sold, but the cornhead is still for sale.

Adam, If I can get it shipped back from Dale's show I might take it. I'd like to see some pics of the head drive assy just to confirm it has the same drive as my "A" has on it. What is the price without the shelds that Mike got?

The 330 is not for sale, just the 240.  I have to have the 330 for my corn crop this year and in future years as well.
Sorry.
Thanks

Sorry, I read your post to mean that you also had the 330 available. My mistake.

Thanks-

No problem.  I reread it and can understand how you could get that out of it.  I have 4.25 acres of corn in this year and next year hope to have 20 acres of corn and 4.25 acres of beans.  I also have a chance to pick up another 8 acres which I may as well from a propane customer of mine.  And on top of that my uncle has asked me if I am interested in farming his 40 acres (problem with it is its 12 miles away).  So I plan on using the 330 this fall.  Hopefully will be able to get some video and pictures to post.
Thanks
Adam

Thanks Adam,
The head is way better that you said it was. A little oil on the chains and some grease in the fitting and she will pick corn again!
Do you know the part # on the head drive gear on your "A2" combine or the number of teeth on it so I can get the right one back on my "A"  Or is it the same gear you are using on your three row head now?

Don,
I used the same one on my 330.  Are they different?  Glad you like the head.  I can go out sometime and count the teeth, but the head mechanics looked the same so I figured they were the same.

Adam I when on line to the AGCO parts book for a look it showed the same part # for the  330 and the 240 heads so we are good to go with drive setups.
Thanks, Don
