the deck and stripes on my 616's seem more white than cream, I intend on anything painted being cream and having maple hunter make up a set of decals in cream.  They will do it at no additional cost.

When I took the panels off of my 620, the paint inside the frame rails was more of a Red-Orange than like the lighter Persian Orange II. You could see the paint faded a bit on the outside sheetmetal which sorta looked similar to the PO II, but still not light enough. With a little research, I found that the Dupli-color DE1607 spray paint was darn close to the inside of that frame rail. Only bout' a shade or two off. This comes up as a Chevrolet Orange-Red on the spray can cap. I figured I'd go with that color. Its a pretty darn close match to the Orange under the hood also.. ?

you can get the factory Persian orange from AGCO for $45 a quart around here. My opinion that paint is the best, ive never had good success with automotive paint

No, corporate orange came out in 1977.  These particular machines were built from 1972 to 1975.

Hey who knows, maybe the guy that shot the Tractor I have had a little darker mix in the gun when it came down the assembly line. All I'm saying is the color I found was a close match to the inside of the frame rail, so I went with the color I chose. I'm not saying this is accurate, just matched it up with mine. I'm not that picky, just cleaning up the ole girl. Your's could be much lighter and more accurate than mine. Lighten up, its all good...

I agree with Steve but I almost think they were sprayed the red orange (maybe for Simplicity?) and then they got rehit with persian II.  It looks like 2 distinct colors to me on my tractors

when i look inthe deep dark corners of my simplicity 101 it is a little redder orange.    but now it is faded and looks like it was po#2     when i got the 616 running early this spring i used some corperate orange  spray can in were the battery sits and mine looks to be definantly persian orange #2  asfor the grill or rims my new front wheels are creme but they may have been a whiter color

I was doing some of my own research a couple years ago when I first bought my 620, but never really got anywhere with it. That's why I went with just trying to match a color that was sorta' close. Wasn't really anal bout' it. Figured I'd just get somethin' close, that's why I matched a color close to the inside frame rail. Looks good enough for me! LOL!

Steve, I was more concerned with the creme-white that was on them. I matched the orange really well, like you did. Thanks Tracy

My rear wheels I painted a metallic silver on the rim part with an matching Orange center. Front rims I'll probably do all metallic silver.
