Anyone know what the difference is between an Allis I60 and an I600?
Thanks.

Chiefly, a larger displacement engine, 160 c.i., instead of 149. Also, thumb guard on the pd handle, oval muffler, better brakes, plus a few other things I know I am forgetting.

There is no differance between the I-60 and I-600 tractor. Both have the 160 engine and the thumb guard on the 'big stick' etc. The differance is in the backhoe.

I yield to your superior knowledge, of construction equipment.  I was speaking of the changes, in the D-15, series 1, to series 2, farm tractor.  I thought some, at least corresponded to the construction line.

The I-60 came out in 1964 a year after the D-15 Series II. The big differance between the I-60 and the D-15 II industrial was the hard front end that totally inclosed the crank driven hydraulic pump and hydrastatic power steering and I think an even heavier front axle with 6 bolt front hubs.  I had a I-60 TLB for a few years in the mid 70's
