OK, SSON put contaminated diesel in his pride and joy a MONTH ago, FINALLY got it back today. Bill for the insurance company was just under 10, 000 Canucks !! Dealer replaced everything ,except tank. so filters and injector pump, $10,000 !!! tht doesn't include krappy rentail PU with NO hitch. I'd love to see the bill AND I'd want ALL the used parts too.
So much for saving 3 cents per litre ( 12 cents per gallon ) of diesel. AND he writes it all off anyway....

I'm betting the dealer only puts a 30 days warranty on parts too !

I've been seeing ALOT of signs posted at fuel/gas stations around here advertising they DO NOT have bio/soy diesel!

It's not the soy based that's a problem. The problem is if you never drain the water trap and water gets past it to the pump and injectors, OR you screw up and pour DEF in the fuel tank and run the engine. If you ever make that mistake NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER turn the key on or start the engine. If the DEF is only in the tank, it's a simple drop the tank and clean it out. Water dispersant products are one of the worst things you can do to your fuel system. This includes all alcohol based products like HEET or Sea Foam.

a '15 would be a 6.7 in the 3/4 ton or the 3.0 VM Motorri in the 1/2 ton.
