Yes, I've experienced that, too. It's part of the health department's guidelines for social distancing. It can feel a bit odd, but it's for everyone's safety. I appreciate restaurants taking these precautions. Speaking of restaurants, what are your favorite ones? If you ever visit Dublin, be sure to check out places to eat rathgar.
