Chuck,

Someone got ahold of your hotmail account and is scamming:
from my inbox:

"Hello,

How are you doing ? Sorry I didn't inform you about my traveling to London for a program, I'm presently in London and am having some difficulties here because i misplaced my wallet on my way to the hotel where my money and other valuable things were kept.I will like you to assist me with a loan of $2,000 to sort-out my hotel bills and to get myself back home. I will appreciate whatever you can afford to assist me with, I'll reimburse you at my return, let me know if you can be of any help? ASAP.

Anticipating you reply at the earliest to my request.

Thanks,
Chuck Luedtke "

I am going to tell him I wired the money to a western union office in London.....

Sorry guys.  I got an email from hotmail saying I had to verify my account or it would be closed.  It got closed a month or two ago for no apparent reason, and I got it opened back up.   The email looked legit, didn't get flagged as junk and when I hit reply, it pulled up a legit reply page with an email going straight to hotmail.   Well, someone hijacked it and I'm trying to get it back.   My father in law thought it was funny and said, they should have only asked for $20 as noone would even think of loaning me $2000.   Sorry for the problems guys.

Chuck, I also got a $5,000 cashier's check from you in the mail this morning with a letter indicating if I cashed it for you, and sent half back to you, I could keep the other half. Is your check good???
