I need to buy a new (rebuilt) generator for my 1941 WC, the tractor had an alternator on it. It is getting a (new in the box wiring harness) from walts tractors to include the lighting wires, i want to keep it 6V and walts tractors has 3 different generators, does anyone know which one the '41 WC needs to have (considering the lights are going to be wired into the harness as well) I just dont know the difference in generators, and at a $230 plus price, i cant afford to buy the wrong one, thanks guys for ALL the help!

Well, According to my DR Geny App's book, I do not have a listing for a 41' WC. I do see 43-48 WC, 6 volts, Original Generator # 1101357, Rebuilt #51DT, New Service/ # 1947578/Universal Generator Package [ also use #1118786 Regulator]. Regulator for the original Geny is # 1116809.

I have #'s listed for B/C earlier, not the WC, can't imagine the #'s change in 2 years, but you never know. Just checked #'s for the RC/B/C 40-50 are same as I posted for the WC 43-48.

Do you think it would be safe to order one off the 43 year and a regulator to boot? i mean, the wiring harnesses ought to be darn near the same if not identical..... i doubt the harness changed from 41-45 ish ...

There's a huge salvage/parts place not too far from me Worthington Ag Parts, they ship anywhere. Got a rebuilt Delco #1101357 for my WD (same for WC) for $90, might want to give them a try. If they don't have one in stock they will find one somewhere else. www.worthingtonagparts.com
