Found this 720 about 60 miles away from me and purchased it today. Seems to be in pretty good condition. Will post more pictures when I get it home. rrhead(SD)

Congrats, you have a newer unit, has heavy spindle front end. I bought mine 6 years ago, love it, Trev.

Have had a 1974 620 for about 3 yrs.  (had to go 800 miles one way for mine) Sure like it.  Have been fighting a failure to charge situation for some time now, but sure enjoy using it.  Has the mower deck, and a front blade.  Rarely use the snowblower on our driveway since I have had this tractor/blade combo.  Rear tires are fluid filled also  I think you will be a happy driver!

Kind of funny. This one has a charging problem also. He said all it needs is some diodes. Is the alternator in the starter, like on my newer Agco-Allis mowers? Thanks, rrhead(SD)

A stator is under the flywheel, and separate regulator and rectifier mounted inside frame. No combined unit.

How much did you have to give to buy it? Looks in nice shape. I hope I can find one like that someday. I like those 720 Garden Tractors.

Where did you find that. I never see them for sale in our area.

Sorry, my bad.  The one I'm looking at is a 712.  I don't know if it's still for sale, I doubt I can get it as I have no where to store anything else, period.  I really want this one, but if it's still for sale, and anyone wants it, go for it.  Looks like a nice one for the $$.
