I am looking at a 6060 with a factory cab. It doesn't have air conditioning. Is it true that all of the components are factory installed in the cab? Does any one know of a kit available to add the rest of the necessary pieces?

Thanks

All the cab components are in the upper roof area, yes. It isn't an "add-on" kind of deal with electric fans behind the cab. All you see is the compressor on the engine. Everything else is covered up when the hoods are on.

Ive never been around a 6000 series cab. We changed every piece of the air conditioning on a 8070. I dont see why it couldnt be done. Just have to find a supplier with the components. Maybe hy-capacity or ap air or walts tractors

i wonder if you have one without air or it's missing some outer components and you think it doesn't have air....Was it an option? Never heard of a 7 or 8000 series with out air. why would the 6000 be different?

According to the manual, AC WAS an option on the 6000 tractors.  Actually if you look closely on the cover, it shows a 2wd 6080 with factory cab, but there is no AC compressor hanging on the left side of the engine.

Mine has AC, but it does not work.  There is a hole in the evaporator in the roof.  Later models like mine have a 1 piece evaporator and heater core.  Major surgery to get it out!
