D17 Pulling Pictures and D21 Pulling Pictures from this summer. Both run in Farm stock. D21 is all original including the original set of 18.4-34 wheels, I wanted to put 20.8-38 on but dad wanted to keep original, he's the BOSS. we even found an original Ray-Jay turbo for it that was brand new sitting on a shelf at a pump shop. We did some head work on her, injectors, played with pump turns between 150-170hp with engine set at 2600 rpm. D17 has uncut 15.5-38 wheels on back, electronic ignition, high comp. 175 pistons, and some head work and carb work.It still runs a D17 crank. puts out 65-70hp.

Beautiful tractors. Very nice. Were tickets hard to get for the pull? LOL Thats how it is around the small county fairs around here.

Where we had the D21 at the fair was hosting the Lucas Oil Pulling Series "America's Pull". They ran farm classes during the afternoon and your entry fee got you into the pulls that evening, didn't have to pay for any extra pit passes, I thought that was kinda of a sweet deal. We didn't stay and watch though, we had my son with us, he was ready for a much needed nap by the middle of the afternoon!! Got to see alot of big equipment there, including "Hurricane ALLIS"!!
Most of the small pulls are put on by clubs around here, I was upset of the fact that we had to pay $20 each for extra pit passes for my brother and his girlfriend for them to get into the pulls with us at our local county fair. $20 seemed steep to watch antique and farm stock tractors go down the track all afternoon. I guess when you have no more than 50 people in the stands you gotta make up for it somehow!! |
